i think my peak knob is broken

I am a long time synth user on a pro level and I regularly use a Minimoog, an OB-6 and some other analogue gems in my studio (I even owned a Jupiter 8 back in the day). I just bought a used Prologue 16 and IMHO it's a mean machine. I think Korg designed this synth with professional music production in mind. It's extremely versatile (and yes, I know, only one LFO, but that over-wiggling is almost never useful once you integrate a sound in a complex arrangement),, fantastic effects, and great high-quality user interface which is fun to tweak. I cannot see anything wrong with this machine other that it's no longer available for purchase.

Good catch! There is no point to analog synths with ADDA. It's like listening to Vinyl rips on your computer.

Good video , i was considering prologue instead of prophet rev2 , but rev2 def sounds more vintage and your video convinced me ; As for all the comments about 20khz upwards frequencies not mattering, BS , they interact with lower frequencies as do the harmonics and the absence will also cause a change in sound

When I try to edit only one step like you do in the video by holding it and then adjusting the speed it just turns off and all active steps are edited. In your video the light turns off and on again once you turn the speed knob. Anyone knows what I’m doing wrong? I am in motion sequence mode.

You're much more technically minded than me and I think I know what you're getting at. It's interesting to read various comments about the Prologue. Every synth I've bought there's been somebody who sent it back a few days later because they hated it. My dream synth purchase was a Prophet 6 and, sure enough, after testing it I went online and there were so many comments about how much people hated it. I bought a Prologue 16 a few months later after telling myself I never would because it doesn't have aftertouch. It's as wonky as hell with oscillator drift and takes about 5 minutes to kind of "warm up" and become stable. I absolutely love it and it complements the Prophet 6 really well in my opinion. Having 16 voices on an analog synth (yes I called it analog 😉) is a real bonus for me. Thanks for the video and educating me more about the Prologue.

Is your oscilloscope a free download on the computer? I'm thinking of buying a unit but if I can download it online that would save me some money Also, I've noticed a glitch on the home screen of my prologue! Sometimes turning the knob for presets it goes dark or will have these strange digital lines running across the bottom of the screen. Have you seen or heard of this? I've wondered if it's a warning something is going wrong inside the synth.

Since the day one i was telling my friends that Korg messing with OG minilogue circuitry is a wrong idea and that the sound will be lacking, thanks for the video! I'm not an engineer or something but my basic knowledge of circuits and analog sounds told me that Korg was doing something wrong (and it can be heard even in XD version, where somehow digital FX messing up analog goodness of OG circuit).

I'm so glad I found this video, I was loading samples onto my korg last week and i accidently put one in that was 12 seconds and saw how much room it was taking. I thought of the trick we used to do on my 90s keyboard. You confirmed it!
